The State Institution "Territorial Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Ternopil region" received protective shields, special medical clothing, and medicines from the Apostle Foundation. The benefactors also transferred the necessary medicines to other medical institutions in the region.

According to the Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Mykhailo Apostol, the hospitals of the region will receive a large number of broad-spectrum medicines, the main antibiotics for pneumonia. The medicines worth almost three million hryvnias were purchased at the expense of foreign investors with whom the fund cooperates.

The personal protective equipment has already been received by doctors of the "Territorial Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Ternopil region".

- Such assistance is extremely important. Protective shields and overalls will be used, first of all, by nurses, and doctors, who conduct outpatient treatment of patients, - says the head of the hospital (with a polyclinic) Galina Godko.

According to Mykhailo Apostol, doctors will continue to be provided with everything they need, as well as to provide assistance to the most vulnerable groups of the population.

The Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs has previously handed over personal protective equipment to doctors and law enforcement officers of the region to counter the spread of coronavirus infection. Protective shields, disinfectants, and protective clothing were received by employees of medical institutions of Monastyrysk, Terebovlya districts, and the city of Ternopil.
