How to protect yourself from cardiovascular disease

Much depends on changes in lifestyle, because the main factors in the development of cardiovascular diseases are insufficient physical activity, excess weight, poor nutrition, high blood glucose and cholesterol levels, smoking, stressful situations.
Leading experts from the World Health Organization agreed that a low level of physical activity has a negative prognosis for a person in terms of the development of overweight and arterial hypertension.

 


• Walk 30-60 minutes daily
• Refuse to use the elevator at work or in your home;
• It is important to reduce the duration of watching television programs, working at the computer to a total of 10:00 a week;
• Prepare food and eat small meals
• Follow a Mediterranean diet: fresh vegetables and fruits, sea fish, some wine (50-70 g of alcohol per week)
• Limit consumption of sugary concentrated factory drinks;
• Give up smoking;
