Vaccination of law enforcement officers, pensioners, and their families continues in the Ternopil region

More than a thousand law enforcement officers of Ternopil and the region have already been vaccinated against Covid-19. Since the beginning of May, the departmental medical institution started vaccinating pensioners of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. As soon as a sufficient number of vaccines is received, doctors will begin to vaccinate family members of active employees.

- Currently, we are fully provided with vaccines and everything else we need. Mobile medical teams, which, according to our orders, operate in the institution, have undergone training, successfully passed tests, received certificates and we can use all the vaccines available in our country, - the head of the State Institution "TMA of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Ternopil region" Mykhailo Vasylyshyn.

Many pensioners with limited mobility are also registered at the medical institution. There are also those who are afraid to leave their homes because of the coronavirus epidemic. For such patients, a special mobile medical team "on wheels" has been created in the institution, which is ready to go to the wards at any time and make vaccinations.

Today, the employees of the departmental hospital with a polyclinic have received and are vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Korea) and CoronaVac (China) vaccines. "Vaccination is the most effective way to protect yourself from Covid-19," says Iryna Romanyshyn, senior nurse of the medical polyclinic of the hospital (with a polyclinic) of the State Institution "TMA of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Ternopil region" Iryna Romanyshyn.

- All vaccines are effective and safe, and therefore police officers should take the opportunity to be vaccinated, and take it responsibly to form full protection and immunity. Vaccination is carried out daily during the working week according to a previously agreed schedule. This is done to avoid crowds and to comply with all anti-epidemic standards.

Public order protection, emergencies, urgent calls, and duty. Everywhere, a police officer has to contact the public. Therefore, to minimize the risk of infection, doctors recommend vaccination.

A veteran of the police Serhiy Antsibor worked in the police for more than twenty years. He retired on disability as a participant in the liquidation of the consequences at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant.

- He came to the conclusion that he needed to be vaccinated. Many friends died from coronavirus, and for those who were vaccinated, even if they got sick, the course of the disease is not complicated. Therefore, I decided to get vaccinated.

- There is no excitement about vaccination, but we hope that the explanatory and informational work of my colleagues and heads of departments will intensify this area of work, - Mykhailo Vasylyshyn said. - No matter how much we want, the world has not come up with another effective means to combat this pathology.
