Head of the Territorial Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Ternopil region Mykhailo Vasylyshyn received a letter of gratitude from the Rector of the Ternopil State Medical University named after I.Y. Gorbachevsky Mykhailo Korda.

Due to the close cooperation between the law enforcement agency and the University, the Head of the Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs provided medical students with an ambulance to participate in the All-Ukrainian Championship of Emergency Medical Teams with international participation "Galician Medical Rally-2016".

The competition, which was attended by 22 teams, took place in the Lviv region. To enable the team of students of Ternopil State Medical University to compete with experienced doctors, including those from Poland and Lithuania, the management of the departmental medical institution provided future doctors with a special ambulance and a driver. Ternopil students successfully passed 11 competitive tasks, were not inferior to professional teams, and got into the top ten teams of Ukraine.

According to the Head of the Department of Disaster Medicine and Military Medicine of TSMU, Professor Arsen Hudyma, it is thanks to close cooperation with the leadership of the law enforcement medical institution that the students were able to professionally demonstrate their knowledge and adequately represent Ternopil region.

Mykhailo Vasylyshyn thanked the university management for the award and stressed that their friendship, which has lasted for five years, and joint work with the Department of Disaster Medicine and Military Medicine of TSMU will not stop. They will continue to promote and support future doctors in every possible way.
