Center for Preventive Medicine

Center for Preventive Medicine State institution "Territorial Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Ternopil region", a structural and functional unit, is a part of the State Institution of TMA.
The Center for Preventive Medicine of the State Institution "TMA of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Ternopil Region" was created on the basis of and is the legal successor of the sanitary and epidemiological station SI TMA according to the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine dated December 14, 2017 No. 1029, in accordance with the requirements of clause 521 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 08.30.2017 No. 663 "On amendments to the Regulation on the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine", order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine dated June 14, 2017 No. 507 "List of healthcare institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine".
The center is a state sanitary and prophylactic health care institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to ensure the sanitary and epidemic well-being of persons who, according to the law, have the right to medical care in health care institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and carries out state sanitary and epidemiological supervision in the subordinate territory, in military units of NSU and units subordinated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ukraine.
The center employs a general hygiene doctor, an epidemiologist, and an epidemiologist assistant. In the structure of the Center, there is a bacteriological laboratory in which a bacteriologist and a laboratory assistant of chemical and bacteriological analysis work.
The main tasks of the Center for Preventive Medicine:
- implementation of state sanitary and epidemiological supervision over compliance by legal entities and individuals with sanitary legislation of Ukraine, sanitary norms and rules, and regulations in order to preserve and protect the health of police officers and employees of territorial bodies and units of the National Police, institutions and institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine, members of their families, pensioners of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the state of emergency of Ukraine;
- determination of environmental factors that negatively affect human health;
- study, assessment, and forecasting of health indicators of persons entitled to medical care
- preparation of proposals for ensuring the sanitary and epidemic well-being of persons entitled to medical care and persons in the units of the National Police, as well as proposals for the prevention of the emergence and spread of infectious diseases;
- participates in deciphering outbreaks, group infectious and non-infectious diseases, investigating the causes of occupational diseases and poisoning, food poisoning, and toxic infections;
- conducts bacteriological studies of environmental objects and laboratory diagnostics of infectious diseases to persons entitled to free medical care in health care institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and other institutions, organizations, and citizens on the terms of concluded contracts, for a fee according to the approved price list and in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.
