The center is a medical and preventive institution, part of the State Institution "Territorial medical association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Ternopil Region", which is a budgetary, non-profit institution that does not have the status of a legal entity, belongs to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The center was created by the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the order of the Department of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Ternopil region on January 10, 1996, as a structural unit of the health department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Ternopil region. The task of the center was to conduct a psychiatric examination, psychodiagnostic and professional psychophysiological examination of candidates for service in the bodies and subdivisions of the internal affairs, who underwent a medical examination in the military medical commission, to study the state of mental health of persons and to provide qualified psychological and psychiatric assistance to employees and pensioners of the internal affairs bodies of the region ...
With the reorganization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, carried out in 2014-2015, the center became a medical and preventive institution as part of the State Institution "Territorial medical association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Ternopil Region".
The PD and PPV Center has a long experience in conducting preliminary and periodic psychiatric and preventive drug examinations, and professional psychophysiological and psychological selection of personnel.
Qualified psychiatrists and psychologists work here, who provide psychological, psychiatric, and psychocorrectional assistance, incl. persons who were in extreme situations, including participants in the ATO / OOS.
The institution is equipped with a modern computer classroom for psychological testing in 10 places and a room for psychophysiological examination.
